It is a good timing that I wrote this blog for Southern Leyte since they will be celebrating its 58th Anniversary this coming 1st of July. CONGRATULATIONS! SOUTHERN LEYTE!
Southern Leyte is a province in the Philippines. It is located in Eastern Visayas, and the capital is the city of Maasin. It was before a sub-province of Leyte before it was made an independent province. So, now you have two provinces which is Leyte and Southern Leyte. The province is made up of 18 towns and 1 city. Also some of the towns in the southern part is divided into groups, namely the Pacific Area and the Panaon area or the Panaon Island which consist of the following towns: Liloan, San Francisco, Pintuyan and San Ricardo. St. Bernard, San Juan, Anahawan, Hinundayan, Hinunangan and Silago composes the Pacific area.
