The Tourism Office of Maasin City had their very first Team Building Event last Saturday, 22nd of June till 23rd of June. The team chose the best location for their first event and that is the famous little paradise called "Digyu Island". This is one of the four islands or the so called "Cuatro Islas".
Reaching the location is not that difficult nor that far. We started from the City of Maasin going to Inopacan, Leyte where our boat is waiting to bring to the island. The drive from Maasin City to Inopacan took only around 40mins. We have our own vehicle and the best part is that the LGU of Inopacan really planned and prepared the setup for incoming tourists. They provide free parking for those who brought their own cars and it is a secured parking area as well.
The people were very welcoming, especially the tourism department of Inopacan, Leyte. They deserve a round of applause, everything was pretty much in order, from the boat and registration process was smooth and fast.
There are a lot things you can do on the island, aside from swimming and enjoying the white sand beaches and its beautiful and long sand bar, you can play ball games, do snorkeling, camping too. Overnight stay is allowed and you can bring your own tent or rent and also they have an open cottage or closed cottage with reasonable prices too.
